The "I-Tech for Teens" project was initiated by the Assistant Manager of the Information Technology Department and their team, recognizing the importance of ICT in the education of children and youth, particularly those in disadvantaged areas who lack access to computers. Due to financial constraints and insufficient school budgets, many children miss out on learning opportunities essential for their development.
Providing access to technology for underprivileged children in underserved areas.
(2024)
To address this, the company refurbished old computers to prevent e-waste and donated them to underprivileged schools. So far, 32 computers have been donated to various schools, aiming to reduce inequality, improve education standards, and provide equal access to technology for Thai youth.
Based on the work done so far, the project has donated a total of 32 computers to schools. Specifically, 5 computers were given to Nakhon Thai Witthayakhom School in Nakhon Thai Subdistrict, Nakhon Thai District, Phitsanulok Province. 10 computers were donated to Ban Yang Phatthana School in Nong Kathao Subdistrict, Nakhon Thai District, Phitsanulok Province. Another 5 computers were provided to Bang Yang Phatthana School in Nong Kathao Subdistrict, Nakhon Thai District, Phitsanulok Province. Lastly, 12 computers were given to Nong Kla School in Phu Tet Subdistrict, Wiang Chai District, Phetchabun Province. We hope that this project will be a part of sustainable social and environmental development and will promote the growth of children and youth, who are the future of the nation, into quality adults in the future.
